Thunder Valley Casino Resort was roaring on February 6, 2026, as Halestorm rolled into Lincoln with rising rocker SORRY X in tow. From the first note to the final encore, the night delivered exactly what a HALESTORM show promises: power, precision, and a genuine connection between band and crowd — with a strong opening performance that set the tone early. So let’s get into this magical night of female-fronted rock at its finest!!
Lincoln, CA is in for a treat with this bill tonight, HALESTORM fronted by Female Rock Icon Lzzy Hale, and new solo artist, SORRY X wasted no time making an impression. Fronted by Phoenix-based vocalist and songwriter Alexa, SORRY X brings a modern hard-rock edge that feels both current and raw. Backed by a tight touring band, her set leaned heavily into heavy riffs, commanding vocals, and a confident stage presence that felt right at home in front of a Halestorm crowd.
Her performance showcased a mix of released singles and fan-recognized tracks, including standouts like “LOCKED OUT,” “BULLET,” and “R U DWN?” The songs hit hard, but it was Alexa’s voice — gritty, controlled, and emotionally charged — that truly carried the set. She moved easily across the stage, engaging the crowd without forcing it, earning genuine cheers rather than polite applause.
As an opener, SORRY X struck the perfect balance: heavy enough to fire up the room, distinct enough to stand on her own. For many in the audience, this was clearly a first introduction — and judging by the response, not the last. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any information on SORRY X’s touring band, it’s a shame because I think the band really helped carry this frontwoman’s performance through and added to the flair that seemed to be missing from this performance , being asked to open for HALESTORM are some big shoes to fill! It would have been great to detail these musicians’ accolades for this performance, maybe by this time next year we will have some more information on the opening band to help, spread the news, and support that they deserve. The fans are clearly warmed up for the main course!! The arena fills in anticipation of the headliner.
HALESTORM’s stop at Thunder Valley last summer was the kind of show that reminds you why they’ve earned their reputation as one of the most dependable live bands in hard rock. From the moment they hit the stage, the band has always delivered a performance that was equal parts polished and ferocious, blending crowd-favorite anthems with newer material that translated powerfully in a live setting. I was especially excited to see Lzzy Hale with HALESTORM again, I have been fortunate enough to have seen HALESTORM quite a few times over the last few years, including catching them last July at Villa Park In Birmingham England for the Back to the Beginning Concert. Lzzy Hale was the only Female artist asked to perform at this Special Tribute concert to BLACK SABBATH, and would be last performance ever from OZZY OSBOURNE.
This evening, the venue itself played a big role in the night’s success. Thunder Valley’s modern room offered excellent sound clarity and sightlines, creating an intimate feel despite the size of the crowd. Every guitar crunch, drum hit, and vocal run landed with punch and presence.
A Commanding Performance from Start to Finish
Lzzy Hale owned the stage from the opening song, her vocals cutting through the room with strength and control. She moved seamlessly between grit-heavy rock vocals and emotional melodic passages, proving once again that she’s one of the strongest voices in contemporary rock. Her connection with the crowd felt natural and genuine she always seems to be the brightness gleaming in every room
She enters, sort of a must-have for Rock Stars — confident without being over-rehearsed. And we are all here for it!
Musically, the band was locked in tight. Joe Hottinger’s guitar work was sharp and expressive, Always plays to impress, while Josh Smith’s bass added weight and groove that filled out the room. Also doubling on the keys he’s always a joy to watch. Arejay Hale’s drumming was relentless, blending power with personality, and his signature drum solo brought the crowd to full attention, earning one of the loudest reactions of the nig. And that Neon Green drum set, what a powerful drummer to watch!
Several moments stood out during the performance. “I Miss the Misery” and “Love Bites (So Do I)” sparked massive crowd participation, while newer songs like “ Rain Your Blood on Me” and “Everest” proved they belong alongside the band’s established catalog. The emotional weight of “Here’s to Us” brought a unifying close, with the audience singing along and phones lighting up the room.
HALESTORM’s Thunder Valley performance wasn’t just another tour stop — it was a confident, fully realized rock show delivered by a band at the top of their game. With flawless execution, a thoughtfully crafted setlist, and genuine connection with the audience, Lzzys performance always evokes memories of teenage girls singing to their hairbrushes in their bedrooms to me, this night was a win for longtime fans and newcomers alike. And all those grown-up little girls that live vicariously through Lzzy Hale watching her live out her childhood rock and roll dreams right before us all!
This was HALESTORM doing what they do best: loud, powerful, emotional rock performed with conviction.
Looking ahead to 2026, HALESTORM shows no signs of slowing down. They’re expected to continue touring heavily in support of Everest, with more North American dates, international runs, and major festival appearances likely as the year unfolds. New music isn’t officially announced yet, but the band has made it clear they’re creatively active, making additional releases or special projects a real possibility.
For SORRY X, 2026 looks like a breakout year. With multiple singles already gaining traction and growing exposure from this tour, she’s positioned to expand her catalog — potentially with an EP or debut full-length — while continuing to tour and solidify her presence in the modern rock landscape.
Taken together, this Thunder Valley stop wasn’t just a great concert — it felt like a crossroads moment. HALESTORM reaffirmed their legacy while pushing forward, and SORRY X showed she’s very much on the rise. If this show was any indication, both artists are heading into 2026 with serious momentum and plenty more to say.
