Austin dark wave rock unit, Temple of Love, creates sultry, searing songs rife with the roar and weight of ritual and rebellion. In sync with the tour announcement, Temple of Love releases a music video for its new song, “Devil“, shot and edited with
Marcos Morales of Austin’s Dirt City Studios ([adult swim], Inter Arma, Outer Heaven). View Temple of Love‘s “Devil” video at this location.

Recorded with GRAMMY-winning producer and recording engineer, Stuart Sullivan (Roky Erickson, Supersuckers), at Wire Recording Studio (Meat Puppets, The Sword), Temple of Love‘s ‘Songs of Love and Despair’ presents a
spellbinding fusion of guitar-heavy rock and southern gothic atmospheres. The band’s sonic DNA draws from gothic rock’s golden era and injects it with the swagger of classic metal and the moody sensuality of darkwave. At times ethereal, at others intense, Temple of Love‘s songs slip between beauty and brutality, light and shadow. With ‘Songs of Love and Despair’
Temple of Love proves that darkness isn’t just a mood — it’s a movement. Purchase/save Songs of Love and Despair at this location.

Fronted by commanding vocalist SuzyBravo (Witchcryer, Tits Out!), whose voice drips with both fury and enchantment, Temple of Love weaves tales of desire and transformation over a storm of razor-edged riffs and driving rhythms. Formed in 2018 as a recording project featuring Bravo and her husband, six-stringer Steve Colca of celebrated U.S. doom metal unit, Destroyer of Light, Temple of Love has transformed into a formidable four-piece forged in the fire of the Austin underground. A witchy and raw sonic ritual where dark romance and rock ‘n’ roll collide.

‘Songs of Love and Despair’ has met to A-list acclaim, being hailed as “Texas post-punk that rocks” by The Needle Drop, and “a willful callout to classic goth rock” by The Obelisk. The band’s beloved black cat, Fulci, was even spotlighted by The Bad Penny as part of its popular “Pet Sounds” series.
