GUITARIST MICHAEL SCHENKER SHOWS SOFTER SIDE
ON ACOUSTIC THANK YOU II
World famous guitarist Michael Schenker has offered up a second collection of acoustic tracks on his latest recording, Thank You II.
The predecessor to Thank You II was released seven years ago and showed a quieter, more reflective side of the guitarist, who was mainly known for the hard rock style he has spent many years perfecting.
Schenker joined his brother Rudolf in the Scorpions when he was just 15 years old. He went on to join UFO, appearing for the first time on 1974’s classic Phenomenon. Schenker assembled the band MSG in the early ‘80s as the Michael Schenker Group. It later transformed into the McAuley Schenker Group with the addition of singer Robin McAuley in mid ‘80s. Schenker released Beware of Scorpions last year under the moniker of MSG, featuring vocalist Chris Logan, bassist Reverand Jones, and drummer Jeff Martin.
