CHAINSAW HOLIDAY Set To Release New EP From Below By Larry Petro, News Monkey Friday, March 28, 2025 @ 6:04 AM
Based in Trollhattan, Sweden, The band consists of members from IMPIOUS, LORD BELIAL and BORN OF SIN. Their sound is a fusion of old school heavy metal, thrash and extreme metal flavored with punk and hardcore attitude forging a fresh, intense identity while nodding to legendary influences.
A mix of heavy grooves, relentless energy, and melodies that resonate long after the final chord rings out FROM BELOW encapsulates the raw intensity, the chaos, passion and power that define their stage presence.
The EP, FROM BELOW, will be released on digital platforms April 11th and will be preceded by two singles;
"Rectification", the video for which can be seen on KNAC.COM HERE, and "Guardian" on March 28th. All music was recorded and mixed between May and July of 2024.
The album features five tracks, produced and engineered by Olof Berggren, known for his work in Studio Mega and Sonic Train Studios and his ability to capture the authentic, unfiltered essence of a band's live energy.
Committed to delivering a truly organic sound, all instruments on From Below were recorded through real amps and cabinets, giving the album a rich, full-bodied tone. Additionally, the band chose to record with acoustic drums, ensuring the music maintains its natural, powerful punch.
"Rectification" - Full throttle double kick metal with a MOTORHEAD style drive and twin guitar harmonies. A true testament to the love of live music and the energy of the audience.
"Then You Die" - A darker and more progressive song with an open chorus, large sound and masterful vocals that creates emotions.
"From Below" - The title track and a real high octane tribute to the thrash masters that has influenced the band. A post apocalyptic story with a different perspective.
"Guardian" - A slower, heavy song influenced by the bands legacy, taking inspiration from bands like METALLICA and PINK FLOYD.
"Edge of Sanity" - Is an epic song that takes the listener on a journey through a dynamic and unpredictable musical landscape.
