The System Of A Down tracks that were leaked to the internet a few months back are now going to be officially released on November 26 through American Records. Around 12-17 songs will be included, all of which are currently being mixed by Andy Wallace. The collection of outtakes and rare material will be released as Steal This Album, and the packaging will appear to look like a home-burnt CD with no booklet. The liner notes will be seen when playing the disc in your computer.
Anthrax's upcoming new full-length release, We've Come For You All, has been set for a March 3, 2003 release date in Europe on Nuclear Blast Records. Though the US release date has yet to be confirmed, Nuclear Blast states that Anthrax's US label problems seem to be solved, "so there shouldn't be any further delay concerning the release date."
Brides of Destruction, the new project featuring Nikki Sixx on bass (Motley Crue), Tracii Guns on guitar (LA Guns), John Corabi on guitar (ex-Motley Crue), Kris Kohls on drums (Adema), and singer London have made clips available of two new demos. Check em out:
Audioslave, featuring Chris Cornell (ex-Soundgarden) and Rage Against The Machine, are set to perform on The Late Show with David Letterman on November 20. April 8, 2003 will see the release of Queensryche EP, The Warning, Rage For Order, and Operation: Mindcrime, with May 6 being the scheduled date for Empire, Promised Land, and Hear In The Now Frontier.

Marilyn Manson is set to score the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Tobe Hooper cult classic about a chainsaw-wielding madman and his rural family of cannibals. Filming begins in July 2003.
Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has confirmed that he and Phil Anselmo are to formally begin work on a new solo project this January in England. Iommi went on to tell Billboard.com that he and Anselmo plan to tour to support the set.
In other Anselmo news, Down have been confirmed to the perform at the Voodoo Festival at New Orleans City Park in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday, November 2nd. In light of this, the Austin show as part of their upcoming U.S. tour will be moved to a later date and their Denver show has been cancelled and won't be rescheduled at this time.
ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard underwent an emergency appendectomy in Paris this weekend. With Beard's blessing, drum tech and former Kik Tracee drummer John Douglas will play for Beard until he has recuperated.
Playboy.com is featuring Korn singer Jonathan Davis' wife Devin in a Celebrity Shoot whereby celebrities get behind the camera and become a Playboy Photographer for a day. Davis chose his wife as his model. Other recent rock celebs to get behind the lens are Poison's Bret Michaels and Tommy Lee.
A retrospective Drowning Pool DVD is set for release on November 19 through Wind-Up Records. Entitled Sinema, the DVD will include the band's 3 music videos with audio commentary from the band, over 2 and a half hours of uncensored behind the scenes footage, previously unseen live bootlegs and rare tracks, and more. Also featured on the disc will be tributes to late frontman Dave Williams. David Draiman (Disturbed), Rob Zombie, Adema, Zakk Wylde, Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.), Dimebag Darrel (Pantera), Ill Nino, label-mates Finger Eleven and Seether, plus more are to be included. As well, appearances by Kerry King (Slayer), Ozzy Osbourne, Sevendust, and others are also scheduled to be a part of the collection.
The soundtrack to the next Matrix film, The Matrix: Reloaded, is to feature music from Papa Roach, Deftones, Prodigy, a new collaboration by Zack De La Rocha (ex-Rage Against The Machine) and DJ Shadow, and others. The album is due for release shortly before the film sees a release to theaters on May 15, 2003.
Speaking of Deftones, the band's upcoming new album will now not see a release until early 2003, according to bassist Chi Cheng.
Nothingface are currently recording their forthcoming album with producer Bill Kennedy (Monster Magnet, Nine Inch Nails). Guitarist Tom Maxwell recently posted on the band's official site, "This is indeed the most defining moment of our lives as a band. The drums are amazing, the guitars fucking destroy and Bill's bass sound is so huge that it will tickle your asshole!!"
Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-Megadeth) has been chosen to fill in on drums for the next few weeks of Stone Sour's US tour. The band's drummer, Joel Ekman, fractured his wrist during the October 9th tour performance while playing their current single, "Bother".
Tracii Guns has announced that the name of his group with Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue), John Corabi (ex-Motley Crue), Kris Kohls (Adema), and London, has been changed yet again... this time to Brides Of Destruction. Originally known as Cockstar, the name of the group was later changed to Motordog (with a website being setup at motordog.net). Apparently, the Brides Of Destruction is the "final" name change.
November 19 will be a joyous day for Korn fans. The date has been set as the release date for the new Korn live DVD, aptly titled Korn Live, as well as a digipak of the recently-released album, Untouchables. The footage on the DVD comes from the band's performance in New York City on June 10, 2002 and will feature the band's complete set. Meanwhile, the digipak album will include a bonus DVD showcasing two previously unreleased tracks, as well as two live tracks from the Korn Live DVD.
Sepultura's upcoming EP of cover tunes has been titled Revolusongs. It is due out later this year, though which label will be releasing it is still unclear.
Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis's new as-yet-unnamed label imprint through Geffen/Interscope, has signed their first group, Lo Pro. The band features former members of Ultraspank, including frontman Pete Murray and guitarist Neil Godfrey.

Slash's official fan site reports that Neurotica frontman Kelly Shaefer has been selected to sing for the new project featuring Guns N' Roses alumni Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum. Although Neurotica has parted ways with the WWE's Smackdown Records, Shaefer will remain with the band as they seek a new record deal.
Fred Durst revealed that Page Hamilton (ex-Helmet) and Brian "Head" Welch (Korn) have contributed to the writing and recording of the new Rick Rubin-produced Limp Bizkit album, Less Is More. It has yet to be confirmed, however, if these guest parts will make it to the final CD when it is released next spring.

Pitchshifter have revealed plans to record a live album from their performances on the last four UK shows of their current tour.
Dry Kill Logic have parted ways with their guitarist Scott Thompson, as well as their record label, Roadrunner Records. Jason Bozzi, formerly of Gargantua Soul, has been tapped to replace the vacant guitar spot.

Ministry's next studio effort, Animositisomnia, has finally been completed with an early 2003 release being eyed, out on Sanctuary Records.
It has been officially announced that Johan Lindstrand is back in The Crown as the new permanent vocalist.
Shadowkeep has been joined by Richie Wicks, former frontman for Tygers of Pan Tang and bassist for Angel Witch. Shadowkeep's new album, A Chaos Theory, will be out on November 26 in the US, and currently available now in Europe.
The reportedly "last-ever" Great White album, Thank You - Goodnight, will be on store shelves on November 19. The live album, featuring 13 tracks in all, was recorded on New Years Eve 2001, and includes two new tracks, "Play On" and "Back On The Rhythm".
Marilyn Manson has revealed in his latest online journal posting on his official site, that the first track from their upcoming studio effort has now been mixed. Commenting on the name, he states, "I'm not going to reveal the name, but it is an onomatopoeia and it actually means the same thing in every language. However, it has a specific slang definition that refers to a sexual maneuver I found interesting."

Filter have cancelled all their forthcoming tour dates as vocalist Richard Patrick has checked himself into a rehab facility. Danzig have found a replacement for drummer Joey Castillo (now Queens of the Stone Age) in Charlee X (ex-Halfcocked). It’s believed that the W.A.S.P./Engine tour has been officially called off after all, reportedly by vocalist Blackie Lawless, and Sanctuary Records and W.A.S.P. will issue an official statement later today. Fu Manchu are set to enter the studio with producer/ engineer Brian Joseph Dobbs (Man Made God, Echobrain) in October to begin mixing tracks for a forthcoming live album. The two disc, twenty song set, tentatively titled Go For It - Live, will feature material from the band's entire career. The group hopes to issue the album early next year, although there is no release date set yet. Fu Manchu are looking for a new label following the recent closing of long time home, Mammoth Records. A Philadelphia radio station has received a “cease-and-desist” from playing Nirvana’s unreleased track, “You Know You’re Right” from not only Nirvana’s label, Universal/Geffen, but as well as from corporate legal at Sony/Epic on behalf of Pearl Jam, AND from Sony on behalf of Audioslave (Chris Cornell/Rage Against the Machine). But to be even more specific, the Coroner in Virginia concluded from autopsy and toxicology reports that Williams’ death was cause by a heart condition, cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle, in which the concentric left ventricular hypertrophy prevents blood flow from the left ventricle to the right, and the cause of this is unknown. The report also says nasal swabs showed no traces of cocaine and the drug was not found in his system. Agoraphobic Nosebleed just completed the recording of Altered States of America, a special 100 song 3" CD for Relapse, and is scheduled for release in early 2003. L.A. Guns will replace Cinderella (for reasons unknown) on the forthcoming UK “Monsters of Rock” Tour with headliner Alice Cooper, along with the Quireboys. Alabama Thunderpussy have just completed the filming of a video for the track, “Motor-Ready” (from Staring at the Divine), and it will be released sometime in the near future. Down will be playing two shows in Japan in December. Stone Sour’s vocalist Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root will make an appearance on Rockline Monday, September 30th at 8:30 PM PST. Sammy Hagar will spend most of October celebrating his birthday. The first half of the month, Hagar’s due to be in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for his Mexican Meltdown/Birthday bash at his legendary Cabo Wabo Cantina. He will then be in Las Vegas, NV at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel on October 19th for another bash, and then he will play a free show in the streets of San Francisco, CA on October 21st (details to come soon). John Corabi (ex-Motley Crue) has joined the line up of Nikki Sixx’s new band, Cockstar, as second guitarist. The Red Rocker Sammy Hagar will be on Hollywood Squares during the second week of October. Courtney Love confirmed during her appearance on the Howard Stern radio morning show she has come to terms with the late Kurt Cobain’s band members, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, on the release of the Nirvana album that Love claims will “be out by Christmas.” Queens of the Stone Age will be appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday, October 7th.
