DOKKEN Joining Whitesnake & Scorpions On The Road
For Hard-Hitting, Crowd-Pleasing Triple Bill in 2003!
DOKKEN Promoting LONG WAY HOME On CMC International
Fans of high-quality hard rock and heavy metal have much to celebrate as 2003 kicks off. Dokken is joining its peers Whitesnake and Scorpions for a tour that will show pretenders to the throne how the true masters do it.
The eagerly awaited trek begins on January 29 in Jacksonville, FL, and continues through late March.
"To me, this is my dream tour. Whitesnake and Scorpions are bands that I really respect and love. I'm excited about this tour. It's going to be great, and the fans will be thrilled with this triple bill," said vocalist Don Dokken.
"I've never played any concerts with Whitesnake before, but I love the band and I've known David Coverdale socially for years. Of course, the Scorpions have been close friends for a long time and they helped launch my career when I sang background vocals on their 'Blackout' album."
Dokken, guitarist Alex De Rosso, bass guitarist Barry Sparks and drummer Mick Brown will play a hits-heavy set also featuring music from the 2002 album Long Way Hom' on CMC International Records, a division of the Sanctuary Records Group.
Dokken will blast out many songs that haven't been played live in more than a decade, including "Dream Warriors," the hit theme to the horror film classic A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. The memorable video, which received saturation airplay on MTV, featured the movie series' villain character, Freddy Krueger. Dokken's notable songs include "Breaking the Chains," "Alone Again," "Into the Fire," "In My Dreams," "It's Not Love" and countless others.
