Maiden's Nicko McBrain Charged With Hitting Man With Car

According to a report by MTV, Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain literally “ran” into trouble when he planted his Jaguar into a parking attendants kneecaps on Saturday night at Tommy Hilfiger’s Jones Beach Amphitheater in Wantaugh, NY. He was arrested on charges of 3rd degree assault and 2nd degree reckless endangerment. McBrain was granted an ‘appearance ticket’ which allowed him to perform that evening.
As McBrain arrived to the venue for Maiden’s 5th gig into their ‘Give Me ‘Ed… ‘Til I’m Dead’ Tour, where a security parking attendant asked for his credentials. He apparently flashed his laminate, but the attendant couldn’t see it clearly and asked again. According to the report, McBrain then began to warn the attendant to move or he would hit him. When the man wouldn’t move, McBrain then hit him with his car and warned him to move again. The attendant stood blocking him, at which time McBrain hit him with his Jaguar again and the attendant fell on top of the hood.
McBrain is scheduled for a court appearance in Hempstead, NY on September 16th. If convicted McBrain could face up to a year in jail and fined up to $1000.
