PRESS RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hard rock guitarist and original Faster Pussycat member, Brent Muscat, has announced that he is seriously considering running for the Governor of California. While best known for the late 80's single "House of Pain," Faster Pussycat has been enjoying renewed success as of late on tour, even if it is on a smaller scale.
According to Muscat, "I know I'm not a big star like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I feel I can fairly represent the common person and, maybe now that he has decided not to run, I can pick up some of his potential votes. I never was a star in a blockbuster movie, but he never sold a million albums, or played 'The Forum.'"
Muscat has been a resident of California his entire life, and considers having Faster Pussycat share a concert bill with Motley Crue for two sold out shows at the Los Angels Forum, one of his career highlights.
Running for office does not come without expense, as it costs $3,500 alone to have your name added to the ballot, and Muscat says he is considering running a few on-line auctions to raise funding for his campaign.
"For me this is not just a publicity stunt. I am a middle-class California home owner and tax payer, and I have many issues to debate," stated Muscat, a descendant of America's greatest frontiersmen Kit Carson. A formal announcement is planned in the days ahead. Muscat also has an autobiography titled "Brent Muscat - Babblin On and On" that is scheduled for release later this year.
