Brooklyn's hardcore metal warriors, Biohazard have been touring relentlessly since the end of September, 2001, in support of their most recent endeavor, Uncivilization, released on September 11th through Sanctuary Records. Their goal, to bring their message to wherever the youth will gather and listen; thus the band has brought the goods through a mass of unprejudiced markets, keeping close tabs on their fanbases.
Unfortunately, due to an accident early January, guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei requires foot surgery and the North American leg of their Tour Against Terrorism had been cut down to a string of dates, while the European dates are to continue as scheduled. The band is looking to reschedule the US dates upon their return at the end of February. In the meantime, a concentrated single for "Last Man Standing" will go to radio immediately, and the band's debut Uncivilization video for "Sellout" is receiving airplay at MTVX.
Biohazard is also making an effort to interact even more with their fans. Aside from their frequent postings on the Biohazard.com official message board, the band is announcing a contest at the site, where winners will receive hooded sweatshirts, autographed CDs, and more! The contest consists of submitting a creative caption for a recent image of bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld with Microsoft guru Bill Gates. The contest will run until January 27th at 11pm EST - winners will be posted on the site on February 1st.
In related news, Evan made his return to the gritty HBO hit series OZ, as the new season recently ensued. His rugged and oftentimes brutal biker character Jaz Hoyt has many surprises in-store for this season! Check local listings for details.
