True Blue and Made in America! L.A based rock quartet DIRTY HONEY landed in Music City tonight on their "Rolling 7’s" North American Tour performing at the Basement East with British Rock Act THE AMAZONS (who charted @ No 8 in the UK). The Basement East is one of Nashville’s most recent revised classic Music Venues in the heart of the Five Points Art District. A new rock n’ roll hotspot for acts like KING'S X, FRANK MARINO AND MAHOGANY RUSH and THE DEAD DAISIES. Tonight while DIRTY HONEY rocks the Basement East, just down the road in German Town Steve HarrisBRITISH LION is performing at The Cowan at Top Golf. Despite two club shows in town this Tuesday Night, The Basement East is packed standing room only for DIRTY HONEY. They opened for Slash last Summer @ The Historic Ryman Auditorium, so local Nashville rockers knew all about these guys. Good crowd!

The first time I heard DIRTY HONEY’s “When I’m Gone” on KNAC.COM last year I thought, “These guys f'n rock! Who the hell is this? Um TESLA?” I am a huge fan of the classic rock sound like LED ZEPPELIN, AC/DC and FOGHAT. So I Love DH. They practice what I preach. Straight ahead ballsy power rock. In this day and age it's refreshing to hear a new band playing hard straight ahead blues based rock like I grew up with. DIRTY HONEY frontman Marc LaBelle really lights it up on the vocals. Great tone and vocal range. Dude’s got some pipes. He comes from the school of Robert Plant and Steven Tyler. He sings hard with feel and has his own voice and character. With the addition of guitarist John Notto, bassist Juston Smolian and drummer Corey Coverstone, DIRTY HONEY are a soulful groove in the heart with a unique blend of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s into the now. These guys are a really great band!

DIRTY HONEY are the first unsigned band to land a No. 1 Rock Song on Billboard! Upon the debut of “When I’m Gone” back in the Fall of 2019, it spent 21 weeks on the chart. DIRTY HONEY became 2019’s first new band to crack Rock Radios Top 10. DIRTY HONEY just began the 2020 new year back into touring non stop after a successful opening for THE WHO, GUNS N’ ROSES and Slash last summer. Their 2019 self titled EP DIRTY HONEY just emerged out of the Classic Rock n Roll Vault Produced by Nick Didia (PEARL JAM, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE). They are set to play this years annual “ROCKLAHOMA FESTIVAL” in Pryor Oklahoma May 22-24th.

This group formed just three years ago in 2017 and they’ve really evolved into a solid rock act. They’ve established they’re own sound and smooth dynamics and edgy guitar riffs as AEROSMITH once did in the 1970’s. They have worked up a great new cover of “Last Child” off Aerosmith Rocks with much praise from AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton. It was recorded live at RCA Studio’s recently in Nashville with Producer David Cobb along with a live music video. Their encore tune “Rolling 7’s” has been getting some great radio airplay in follow up to “When I’m Gone”. “Rolling 7’s” vocally drips with smooth groovin’ allure. New rock anthems for a new era in Rock and to ultimately designed to keep your teenage daughters from listening to hip hop.

DIRTY HONEY have been creating a buzz since releasing their new self titled 2019 EP. With tunes like “Break You", "Scars", and "Down the Road”, these guys are going to be lighting it up for albums to come. Tonight was a superb show! Set was a bit short and the crowd left wanting to hear more. I’m sure next time it’ll be worth the wait ~
