Finland’s own, Children of Bodom, fast and furiously made the grade with the release of Are You Dead Yet? blasting out of the starting gates with a nearly totally sold out US tour in November-December with openers Trivium and Amon Amarth. Now, in 2006… Hot Topic Presents: Children of Bodom's Spring US Tour with main support split between God Forbid and Chimaira; also on the bill- rotating in different cities are Bullet For My Valentine and If Hope Dies!

If last year was an indication of what is ahead for the band, hold on tight. COB debuted at # 6 on Billboard’s New Artist Chart, held the top position on the CMJ Loud Rock Chart for six weeks and headlined a nearly sold out US tour with instore appearances nationwide dragging the ‘hate crew’ out in droves to meet the band and grab an autograph. Heck one crazy fan even asked Alexi to punch him in the face. Alexi asked, “are you sure?� The fan was in awe and said “YES!� Alexi obliged.
Children of Bodom and Hot Topic will give out free Artrock posters - designed by Wrecking Crew Studios with the purchase of COB’s Are You Dead Yet? Starting March 1st, at select Hot Topics while supplies last.
In addition, ESP Guitars has teamed with Alexi Laiho to create his own Signature Series guitar! Available in a black w/yellow accent and a white w/black accent finish, the new Alexi Laiho guitars will be available this spring from ESP dealers in both the ESP and LTD brands.
