DEAD MAN'S HAND, the new southern rock band led by members of AZRAEL'S BANE and LOVE AND WAR have released their debut single and accompanying video for the song "Devil's Due" from their upcoming 2024 debut album Dust Bowl. Watch the video on KNAC.COM HERE.

Vocalist Trey Gadler comments:

"This started as a side project. John and I just wanted to try something different and explore another style of music that we both love. It's grown into something much bigger.

This record has been a long time coming. John and I have been writing this thing for a decade. It came out great though and we can't wait to show it to everyone.

We've had a few lineup changes over the years but we've finally put it all together with the right guys. All those guys are bad asses and they're just a bunch of great dudes. They make my job easy.

Shooting the video for "Devil's Due" was a blast. I've done videos before but never one as fun as this one."

Guitarist John Adams comments:

"DEAD MAN'S HAND was formed around 2009-2010 by Trey Gadler and myself.

Our whole approach was to something different other then metal, which we both had been playing for years.

We wanted to go back to our roots, reinvent some of the sounds / music we grew up with, Southern Rock / American Roots based rock, with our influences being LYNYRD SKYNYRD, BOB SEGER, ROLLING STONES, ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND to name a few. Blend those legendary musical influences with current influences like BLACKBERRY SMOKE, WHISKY MYERS, STEVE EARL etc.

It's been gratifying to say the least, we are writing great music with a rock style, I like to call it "Outlaw Rock".

We traveled to Arcadia, Missouri to record our debut album Dust Bowl with engineer/producer Greg Gill at Endeavor Studios. Our first single and video drops on December 8, 2023.

The Video was recorded at Magik Studios with Karim K and his staff.

We are heading back there before the New Year to begin recording our next video and prepare to release our 2nd single in early 2024.

We plan to drop a total of 4-5 singles by Spring 2024, then the full record of 10 songs will be released in Summer 2024."

Upcoming DEAD MAN'S HAND shows:

  • February 17, 2024 - DANGEROUS TOYS/DEAD MAN'S HAND - Acadia, Houston, Texas
Formed from a few of Houston's hardest-working, international recording bands, DEAD MAN'S HAND has only one objective, to deliver Texas Outlaw Rock and Roll with a Southern flair to the masses.

Started in 2010 by singer/guitarist Trey Gadler (AZRAEL'S BANE) and guitarist John Adams (LOVE AND WAR), the goal was clear, to go back to our roots of American folk-inflicted hard rock with a Southern/Texas core.

As Trey Gadler puts it, "We play Finger Lickin, Chicken Pickin, Southern Fried Rock and Roll."

With the addition of Brent Marches on Bass guitar (AZRAEL'S BANE/DARKSIDE) and Van Eric Turner (AZRAEL'S BANE/Z-LOT-Z) on drums, this tight-knit duo delivers one of the strongest rhythm sections around.

Since their introduction, DEAD MAN'S HAND has been honored to share the stage with the likes of THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND, .38 SPECIAL, JACKYL, BRET MICHAELS, SKID ROW and others.

Currently in the recording studio, they are excited to be releasing their debut album to the masses in 2024.
