It was a hot steamy night and it was about to get hotter...
BLACK VEIL BRIDES brings its "Bleeders" tour to Houston.
BLACK VEIL BRIDES (BVB) are known for their energetic and visually captivating live shows. Their concerts are a blend of music and performance art, with elaborate costumes, makeup, and stage setups that engage the audience and enhance the overall experience. BVB's commitment to providing a memorable live performance has earned them a loyal fan base and critical acclaim for their dedication to the craft.
Their debut album, We Stitch These Wounds (2010), set the stage for their unique sound, but it was their subsequent albums, Set the World On Fire (2011) and Wretched And Divine: The Story of The Wild Ones (2013) that solidified their reputation. The latter is a concept album that showcases their ambitious storytelling and thematic depth, featuring hits like "In the End" which remains one of their most popular songs. Now they are continuing that road with their new album Bleeders which is a story about Sweeney Todd.
BLACK VEIL BRIDES' music is a fusion of heavy metal and glam rock, often drawing comparisons to bands like MOTLEY CRUE and KISS for their theatrical performances and makeup. Their sound is characterized by powerful, anthemic choruses, melodic guitar riffs, and Biersack's deep, commanding vocals. Over the years, the band has also incorporated elements of emo and post-hardcore, broadening their appeal.
The crowd was anxiously waiting as the stage lights under the massive drum set started flashing. They spared no expense on the light show and the thunderous sound coming from the speakers. My heart was pounding in my chest. I was feeling the anticipation that everyone behind me was feeling too.
The band kicked things off with "I Am Bulletproof" and they definitely were. Next up was "Heart of Fire" and one of my all time faves, "Wake Up".
One of the highlights for me was when Jinxx (Jeremy) performed a piano solo before the band went into the song "Torch" which was played to perfection.
The bands drummer "CC" Coma performed a killer drum solo that led into "The Legacy" and then they kept the vibe going with other hits like "Knives And Pens" and "Perfect Weapon". All night the band's two amazing guitarist were trading off and sharing solos and the pics will show exactly how in sync these guys are.
The finale and definitely one of their most loved songs was "In The End",and the audience came undone! This song is undoubtedly the perfect one to close out an amazing night of hits. There were a few more songs that I wished they had played but overall the night was a blast and never a dull moment!
This show is not to be missed!
