The full-length, uncensored version of Machine Head's new video for the song 'Aesthetics Of Hate' is now available at the band's official website. Go to this location to check it out. The song is taken from the band's new album, The Blackening.
Metal Church singer Ronny Munroe has his final lineup set for his solo project. He has recruited his former Rottweiller bandmates Rick Van Zandt on guitar, Izzy Rehaume on bass and Doug Marapodi on drums and Q-5/TKO/Nightshade guitarist Rick Pierce. Ronny is glad to keep the band local to the Seattle area. Look for Ronny Munroe's band to do some warm-up dates in September along with playing at the upcoming Clive Aid (www.cliveaid.com) on September 22nd at the L.A. Forum. Ronny is currently working on demo songs for his new CD. Look for a new Ronny Munroe full length CD to be released in the near future.
AJ Cavalier, lead singer of Soil, has just finished producing the first three songs for Corning, NY's Self Made Self. Those songs can be heard at www.myspace.com/selfmadeself.
Former American Head Charge guitarist Nick Quijano is forming a new band and is looking for musicians. His people posted the following message online: "Currently, Nick is appearing in a Basson Sound Equipment advertisement for NAMM music festival and other nationally published magazines. He is now writing and recording for his very own band. Nick is planning to release the new album and to rock the European tour circuit in late 2007. He is searching for the right musicians to fill various slots in the band. If you would like to audition for a part in nick's new band, please drop a line here or email nick at [email protected]. currently looking for vocals, guitar, bass, drums, samples, keys, and anyone else that has something unique to offer."
According to KissKollector.com, former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley will be one of the rock stars paying hommage to the late Dimebag Darrell on May 17th (after Dimebag’s posthumous RockWalk induction) by performing live on stage that night at the Hollywood House Of Blues. Other musicians to play live include Vinnie Paul, Scott Ian, Dave Navarro, John 5, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and many others.
Tool will perform at Summerfest 2007 on July 4th at Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee, WI. Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 5th at Noon and will be available for $57.50, $47.50 and $30.00 at the Marcus Amphitheater Box Office, Ticketmaster Centers, online at ticketmaster.com and by phone. Other acts lined up for Summerfest, which runs from June 28th - July 8th include: Def Leppard, Styx, Foreigner, Bon Jovi and more.
A brief message at Blue Öyster Cult lead vocalist Eric Bloom's MySpace page reads: "Rudy Sarzo (Dio, ex-Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osborne) will be playing bass for Blue Öyster Cult this Saturday (April 28th) at our show in Texas. And yes, there are possibly more dates."
The performance referred to above will take place this Saturday, April 28th, at the Hawgs Of Texas motorcycle rally in Lake Somerville, TX. Other acts on the bill include Quiet Riot, Vixen and many others.
Former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley will reunite with his first band Wolfsbane for three songs after his solo set at the Rock Of Ages Festival in Tamworth, England on September 9th. As previously reported, Bayley will release his new record at the end of October 2007. The record will contain 14 new songs. According to a band update, "We also confirm for the first time, that the management and the band is planning a massive tour 2008/2009, covering over 150 concerts all over the world."
