Nevermore, Destruction, Annihilator and Nuclear Assault are confirmed for the Thrash Domination 07 festival, which will take place in September in Tokyo, Japan. The dates are September 22 and 23 at Club Citta in Tokyo.
The founding members of Winger will perform on select show dates. Winger members Kip Winger (bass/vocals), Reb Beach (guitar), Rod Morgenstein (drums), John Roth (guitars/vocals) a Winger member since 1993’s Pull album and new comer Cenk Eroglu (keyboards/vocals) will be seen across the U.S. Initial scheduled dates are as follows: 6/28 at Mainline Bar & Grill in Downer, MN, 6/29 at Station 4 in St. Paul, MN, and 6/30 at Water Works Park in Des Moines, IA. Winger is also playing the Rocklahoma Festival.
Norwegian black metallers Emperor kicked off their run of US dates on Wednesday night, May 30th, in Chicago, IL at The Metro. The band's setlist included the following: 'Into The Infinity'/'Burning Shadows Of Silence', 'Cosmic Keys To My Creations & Times', 'Thus Spake The Nightspirit', 'An Elegy Of Icaros', 'Curse You All Men!', 'With Strength I Burn', 'Towards The Pantheon', 'The Majesty Of The Nightsky', 'The Loss And Curse Of Reverence', 'In The Wordless Chamber', 'Inno A Satana', 'Opus A Satana Part 1'. Encore: 'I Am The Black Wizards', 'Ye Entrancemperium', 'Opus A Satana Part 2'.
Upcoming Emperor dates include: June 1 at BB King Blues Club in New York City, June 3 at the Key Club in Hollywood, June 24 at Hellfest in Clisson, France, and June 30 at Tuska Open Air in Helsinki, Finland.
Sweden's In Flames are currently in their studio doing pre-production/demos for their upcoming album that will be recorded later this year. The band has been working on new material since early May.
The studio is IF Studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, same studio as the last time they did pre-production.
Since reuniting in January 07’ to perform a benefit concert, Great White has moved forward and hit the studio for their first album in 8 years. "It’s just like old times," states lead singer, Jack Russell. "There’s a bond that forms between people that is very special. I’ve missed my friends." With it being their anniversary year and a new album in tow, Great White is once again ready to rock all summer long. Home town boy makes good. Baltimore's Tommy Maxwell comments on his live debut Hellyeah night on tour in Baltimore: "We fucking destroyed.
