  • W.A.S.P. has issued this warning to European fans who plan to attend an upcoming Crimson Idol performance: "Dear fans, please DO NOT bring any cameras into the shows this fall as it is strictly prohibited to take pictures or recordings of the performance of W.A.S.P.! Security Personnel at every venue will confiscate any cameras (including digital cameras and mobile phones with ability to record) from you before entering the venues. Please respect this request and enjoy the evening with The Crimson Idol. Inquiries have been made as to whether the Crimson Idol will be performed only in select locations. The Crimson Idol Event will be performed every night in each of the cities in the Tour Schedule. After the Crimson Idol has been performed the band will take a ten minute intermission and return to perform all the great W.A.S.P. classic you know and love."

  • Motley Crue's Carnival Of Sins Live 2CD set, out this week, is streaming online. Check out the live tracks 'Dr. Feelgood', 'Girls, Girls, Girls', 'Too Young To Fall In Love' and 'Shout At The Devil' at this location.

  • God Forbid have just announced two December shows as main support to Unearth(*). Opening these shows will be The Faceliess and Sons Of Azrael. • Infernus, guitarist for Norwegian black metallers Gorgoroth, has posted the following update: “I am writing to inform you about the fact that there has been taken a decision to split up the band, Infernus on one side, Gaahl (vocals) and King (Ov Hell - bass) on the other. We can not continue working together any longer. What is still not agreed upon is who rightfully get to keep the band’s name, as it is both parts will to continue. Since this will be a question of legal affairs, I am afraid this might take time to get sorted out. I am sorry for that.”

This follow up statement was posted on the Gorgoroth website: "Vocalist Gaahl (lyrics) and King (bassist/composer) will continue the scheduled European tour in November under the name Gorgoroth with a replacement for Infernus. King and Gaahl will continue to work together musically, performing their art live and recording in the future. This decision was reached by Gaahl and King as they have been the driving force behind Gorgoroth's music for the past eight years. Infernus has stated he will take King and Gaahl to court over future use of the name Gorgoroth."
