Scott Weiland Charged with DUI By Newsferatu, Writer Tuesday, December 4, 2007 @ 6:20 PM
According to the California Highway Patrol, Weiland crashed on the Hollywood Freeway. Officers say he was visibly impaired, failed a sobriety test, and refused to take a blood or urine test. No one was injured.
He was arrested at the scene for "driving under the influence of a drug," and booked at the Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Jail, and released on $40,000 bail.
The 40-year Weiland is no stranger to the law. In 2003 he was convicted of DUI; in 1995, for buying crack cocaine. He was charged with domestic violence in 2001. He is scheduled to appear in court December 13.
