Slayer - Release Date Confirmed For New Album

Columbia Records has confirmed a July 7th release date for the new album from Slayer. The band are currently in a Los Angeles, California studio putting the finishing touches to the follow-up to 2006's Christ Illusion which entered the Billboard 200 at #5 - the band's highest US chart position to date.
The first new track from the album - "Psychopathy Red" - was made available as a 7-inch vinyl disc on April 18th, as part of the third annual Record Store Day. Only 5,000 of these limited edition discs were manufactured worldwide. The blood-red vinyl 'Psychopathy Red' 7-inch collectors item will be packaged in a special Russian crime scene "evidence envelope," as the song was inspired by the heinous Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, aka the Rostov Ripper, who confessed to brutally murdering 56 children. The song was recorded by the band - guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo - in a Los Angeles recording studio last October.

judasbishop - 5/16/2009 9:06:45 PM The US is real good at fudging unemployment numbers because mainly they don't count people who are kicked off the bennies...BUT another area they hide is military poverty draftees and convicts...both which COST the taxpayer and don't contribute or produce anything. "Serving your country" is the only way for many to avoid serving fries or jail but at least the guy serving fries is doing something productive. Regarding that silly propaganda about troops defending my freedom to say how things are? Well, that propaganda was also used to fight dissidence during the Vietnam war (or "conflict"), the US LOST , yet here I am saying what I want to...how did that happen? Even if the Vietnamese were to have taken over the US, I doubt they'd have a problem with me telling you you can stick the US flag up your ass. The similarities with you and Zboy are amazing; can you now see how much you hurt him when you attack HIS make believe religion? lol

It's all about trying find a better balance within the system, but the system has gotten so fucked up it needs to be improved and reformed. By your thinking we should have stayed under British rule and never went for independence. It is our responsibilty I think to try and improve things on the planet if we can, or at least try. Just human kindness at the very least, or is that just for the weak?

I think you have an impossible ammount of shooting to do before you're the smartest monkey in the room...best instead learn something other than what you think is good enough for you or else this type of confused frustration will own you forever. May I recommend any book on introductory logic? It plays well into your supposed atheism and you can forget I recommended it if it helps you get to the point where even that doesn't matter.

Capitalism is the government of survival of the fittest which is the natural order of things. Why should we support the growth of the weak when it only makes everything else weaker? People and entities are meant to fail and to give them an extra hand to help them instead of letting them fail is only delaying the inevitable failure and diluting the system with weakness. Maybe on a certain level it isn't fair but neither is life and no system you can come up with outside of a fantasy world with leprechauns riding unicorns will ever make things on a fair playing field. I agree many things in this country are failing and are corrupted but that is because we have had nothing but Bush's and Clinton's in office since 1980. (If you don't think Obama is a Clinton, investigate how many people were in his admin AND Clinton's) We need a REAL change and not just the same lip service we have been handed for 30 years. I don't think Socialism is the answer on any level because it has been proven time and again to destroy ambition and fails on many levels. I don't want to wait in line for months waiting on government bureacracy while I die waiting for treament. Have you ever been to the DMV? What makes any of you think that somehow magically the government will take care of health care any better than your license plates?

Whatever you want to name the populist movements that attempt to address power, they never failed on their own without "capitalism" making damn well sure they did. If just avoiding terms makes sense of what you are saying, than maybe we could look at similar struggles in the same light, because what you are calling for is being lumped in with things that were previously bastardized as well.
