According to the VAN HALEN News Desk, CHICKENFOOT - the superstar band featuring former VAN HALEN singer SAMMY HAGAR and bassist Michael Anthony, guitarist JOE SATRIANI and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith - are hard at work on their sophomore album, to be titled Chickenfoot IV, which is expected to be released later this year. About the new album Satriani says: “Chickenfoot’s second album is almost finished, and we’re hoping to mix sometime in June. It is heavier, and better than the first one, and I can’t wait to get it out there!” Michael Anthony adds: "Been in the studio with Sammy, Chad and Joe finishing up the recording on the new Chickenfoot CD and having a blast!”
![]() Tracks to appear on the new album include:'No Change', 'Who's Next', 'Astral Years' and 'I Ain't Got You, I Got The Two By Blues'. Initial recordings for the album were overseen by Canadian producer/engineer Mike Fraser, who has worked with AC/DC, METALLICA and AEROSMITH. Stay tuned for further updates.
