It's no secret that Naestved Metalfest is growing. This is clearly backed up by the interest and ticket sales for Naestved Metalfest 2024. With today's announcement of this year's headliner - Norwegian legends SATYRICON - the festival can now be labeled as Denmark's largest independent metal festival. SATYRICON, with Satyr and Frost as the spearheads, has existed for over three decades, and throughout time has managed to stay relevant and contemporary. From pure black metal to several alternative takes on extreme metal and most recently an ambitious album with music based on the paintings and art of the countryman Munch. When SATYRICON visits the big Open Air stage in Naestved in August, it will be the only concert in Denmark in 2024 and we look forward to singing along to hits like "K.I.N.G", "Mother North" and "Dark Medieval Times".

In addition to SATYRICON, we offer a good handful of additional bands on the poster. The seven new names are BRAINSTORM (DE), CENTINEX (SE), RED WARSZAWA (DK), NERVOCHAOS (BR), ADVOCACY (DK), AVARICE (DK) & VANIR (DK).

It is important for Naestved Metalfest to show a wide musical spectrum and book bands that the other festivals do not have on their program. Therefore, it is a minor victory to be able to welcome the classic, German heavy metal band BRAINSTORM, which was formed back in 1989, and which has not played in Denmark in almost a lifetime. The same applies in the more extreme part of the metal genre, where the Swedish death-metal pioneers CENTINEX, who were last in Naestved in 1997, return to South Zealand's capital. All the way from Brazil, we fly in the cult band NERVOCHAOS, who played over 100 concerts in 2023 alone. And from the national latitudes comes the melo-death veterans VANIR to visit Naestved Metalfest for the first time since the festival was first held in 2019. From the Danish growth layer, we welcome progressive metal from ADVOCACY and death-thrash from AVARICE. This year's party feature comes from RED WARSZAWA, who have promised to make a performance out of the ordinary.

There are 3-day tickets for DKK 999, and various package solutions with t-shirts and drinks.

The final names for Naestved Metalfest 2024 are expected to be published in March.

A total of 32 bands will be on the Naestved Metalfest 2024 poster, spread over three stages and three days. In addition to that, Naestved Metalfest offers rock bars, food trucks, special beer stands, DJ stand, Art area, Metal bingo, Biergarten and much more.

REMEMBER! There is an express train between Naestved and Copenhagen, so it only takes 40 minutes to arrive from the capital.

Previously announced bands are ASINHELL (DK), TIAMAT (SE), BAEST (DK), THRESHOLD (UK), BERSAERK (DK), NECROPHOBIC (SE), TYGERS OF PAN TANG (UK), DEMONICAL (SE), SVARTSOT (DK), UNDERGANG (DK), DEFECTO (DK), EVERDAWN (US), BLAZING ETERNITY (DK), SHADOWSPAWN (DK), MICHAEL CATTON (DK), SYLVATICA (DK) & RING OF GYGES (IS).
