On December 13, 2022, legendary blues guitarist and SAVOY BROWN founder Kim Simmonds lost his battle with cancer at age 75. Simmons is credited with being an early pioneer of the British Blues movement. Simmons leaves behind a legacy of nearly 50 recordings with SAVOY BROWN and 5 solo albums.

Numerous bands and musicians cite Simmons and SAVOY BROWN as an influence, from Blues acts to Hard Rock acts, and others in between. SAVOY BROWN has had their share of notable musicians within their ranks alongside Simmons, including members of FOGHAT, YES, KING CRIMSON, UFO, MSG, HUMBLE PIE, and more.

Kim Simmonds recorded the final SAVOY BROWN album prior to his passing, with longtime and longest tenured members Pat DeSalvo and Garnet Grimm. Blues All Around was released on February 17, 2023 through Quarto Valley Records. The album is a fitting eulogy to Kim Simmonds, as it displays the Blues pioneer doing what he does best.
