It’s been six years since the release of the last XANDRIA album Theater of Dimensions. A lot has changed with the German Symphonic Metal outfit since then. XANDRIA has been refreshed and reborn with the addition of Ambre Vourvahis on vocals, Robert Klawonn on guitar, Tim Schwarz on bass, and Dimitrios Gatsios. One constant remains with the band, their founder and guitarist Marco Heubaum.
XANDRIA are hot on the heels of the release of their 8th studio album, The Wonders Still Awaiting. While the album drops on February 3, 2023 through Napalm Records, the material released ahead of it exhibits a powerful blend of orchestral arrangements and heavy metal. I had the chance to catch up with XANDRIA mastermind Marco Heubaum to find out more about it.
